Join us for food, fun, fellowship, travel and entertainment! For those who a 50+ years young and their spouses. We have a variety of guests who speak on different topics like the history of Humble and bald eagles nesting in Humble. We are also entertained by people of all ages, from the very young to those young in spirit. A delicious lunch is prepared and served by our kitchen ministry for $5 a person.

The Gathering Place
Alzheimer’s & Dementia Group
This month we are having a carnival with games, clown, food and more! Caregivers: Bring your loved one to share some interactive time with others. Here’s an opportunity to take some personal time for yourself! Meeting once a month, The Gathering Place, in partnership with Interfaith Care Partners, is a volunteer based ministry providing fellowship and a stimulating atmosphere for those in early to moderate stages of Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. We provide lunch along with all kinds of activities that stimulate the mind in the form of games, music, chair exercise, crafts and the like. Please call the church 281-446-2332 if you are interested in or would like to schedule a visit. we are free to the community.

Choir Room
Hand Bell Choir Can’t sing but you can ring? Hand bell music is relaxing, beautiful and inspirational. No experience necessary. We perform special music on different occasions. Under the direction of Ray Victor, Music Director of First United Methodist.
7:00 & 7:30 pm
Choirs We currently have two choirs that meet on Wednesdays to practice music for Sunday services: our Chancel Choir meets (7:00 pm) to prepare for our 10:50 am Sunday service; our Chapel Choir meets (7:30 pm) to prepare for our 8:30 am Sunday service.  You are invited to join one or both of these choirs. We love new voices and you don’t have to be a member to participate! Contact Ray Victor at the church for more info.

Happening at Our Church:

Groups:  Sunday Schools(all ages), Grow with Me Day School (Preschool – Prekindergarten), Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Venture Crew, Youth Groups, Choirs (all ages), Instrumental Groups (all ages), Mature Adult Groups, Gardening Club, Crafter’s Night, Alzheimer’s & Dementia Group: The Gathering Place (interactive time for those with Alzheimer’s or dementia), ALANON, Bible Studies, and Mission groups.

Community Outreach:  Saturday’s Kids, Family Promise, Kairos, Angel Tree, local missions, and Humble Area Assistance Ministries.

Annual events:  National Night Out, Patriotic Sunday, Easter Family Celebration & Egg Hunt,  Easter Pageant on Palm Sunday, Children’s Christmas Eve Celebration (for kids and families), Christmas Musical, Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion (not just for members!), Blessing of the Backpacks, Blessing of the Animals (coming in October), Movie in the Pumpkin Patch, Pumpkin Patch, Vacation Bible School, and so much more!
