Devotion to Jesus -- Why Christianity Makes Sense
The Da Vinci Code is only the most successful in a long line of books containing revisionist accounts of how and when early Christians came to believe in the divinity of Christ. In fact, the true story of their extraordinary "devotion to Jesus" is much more amazing, as Professor Larry Hurtado of Edinburgh University, one of the world's leading authorities on Christian origins, demonstrates in this important new DVD-based course.
8 Sessions beginning February 17th ~ Tuesdays at 10am & 7pm ~ Facilitated by Elaine Kimzey

This small group meets during the school year in the home of Patty Marsh. They meet on Wednesdays at 10:00 am. Their current study is "Growing Strong in God's Family." This book is designed to help you build a strong foundation for your Christian life through enriching Bible study, Scripture memory, and group interaction. With its biblical and practical approach to discipleship, this workbook will yield long-term, life-changing results, such as: a closer relationship with God, a keener sense of priorities, renewed concern for non-Christian friends and a growing camaraderie within your study group.

A Clearing Season -- Reflections for Lent
To many, Lent is simply a time to "give up" something that they enjoy. They see it as a seemingly long purposeless time of self-denial. But this book rebuffs that notion. It's time to rethink Lent. Lent is spring-cleaning for the soul! It offers you time to pause, consider, and renew your relationship with God--an altogether hopeful (not dreary) experience.
The 7-week Study series will begin Wednesday, February 25th (Ash Wednesday) at 2:00pm
Facilitator: Helen Terpstra
